dc.description.abstractIn the UK, HTM 04-01 recommends microbiological testing of water for Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) as part of the strategy to control water supply-related risks in hospitals. The guidance states that ‘All microbiological measurements should be by approved methods and/or be carried out by United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS)-accredited laboratories for the method being used.’
