dc.description.abstractThinkGlucose is a national programme, launched in 2009, designed to improve inpatient care for people with diabetes. Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has introduced and rolled out a ThinkGlucose project over a 2-year period. The project adopted a multidisciplinary team approach and encompassed all aspects of the ThinkGlucose national programme. In this article, the author identifies the challenges faced by the ThinkGlucose team and the improvements seen as a result.language
